In January 2024, we kicked off the year working on the project of a re-roof in Dartington.
Preparation was carried out during December 2023, we arranged architect drawings and after submitting them to Devon Building Control we were good to go.
There were a number of different stages to this project:
- Carefully remove the existing asbestos sheets. (A certificate was then issued for the removal and disposal)
- We built and fit a new roof structure inline with the architect drawings.
- Insulated the loft space.
- Felted and Battened the roof.
- Fit hooks for a new solar system.
- Chimney work (fitted a new cap and re-rendered).
- Insulated and Fibreglassed a joining flat roof.
- Slated and ridged the roof.
- Fitted a new fascia along with gutters and downpipes.
- Finally, removed all waste from the site.
The project was completed within a month, on time and on budget.
